Valentine’s Tablescape

If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve seen a few of my seasonal table settings. I look forward to holidays and change in seasons, because it gives me a reason to decorate my table. Creating tablescapes originally stemmed from boredom. Then I gravitated towards the idea of having a styled table at all times, despite missing a few key pieces.

Although I never entertain, a styled table is very inviting! I’m actually getting comfortable with the idea of hosting a small gathering. Being surrounded by good company, good food and laughter seems like a no-brainer, but who’s going to cook?! That’s my dilemma.

I’ve collected “dishes” for years now. It all began with my obsession with Asian-inspired stoneware, to now anything sparkly, pretty, and glam! Just a mindless collection that transformed into a hobby.

This table was inspired by rose quartz. It’s Valentines, what can I say? Rose quartz is a popular stone known as the stone of “universal love” — attracting and retaining love. It has also been said to heal broken hearts, clearing it of jealousy, anger, and resentment. In other words, #goodvibesonly.

In general, I love incorporating stones in my decor. I began collecting “rocks” as a toddler, according to my mom and of course that progressed into my stone collection. Still have them to this day!  Anyways, thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!! And as my grandmother used to say: “Be sweet!”
