I’m Baaaack!!!

Hey guys! I’m back!

Not sure to what capacity, but it’s a start! Boy, have I missed my outlet! I’m a beginner again so, it’ll take some time for me to get back in the groove. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve put this off. It’s a new year, so what better time to start than now?! Though I don’t make New Year’s resolutions, I do have a few affirmations – you know, because we are what we speak (and practice)! For the past few years, I don’t feel like I’ve been present. I’ve been routine – focusing on any and everything, but myself.

I’m starting small and concentrating on the little things that make me feel whole, like:

1. Take relaxing bubble baths with candles, aromatherapy, and music.  

I used to do this all the time. I don’t know what happened?! I think it’s important to unwind and get rid of the worries of the day. I find myself constantly planning and preparing for the next day. My mind can’t catch a break! I need to reflect.

2. Meditate and manifest.

I don’t know how to be still, so this one will take some practice. Ever since I went to ‘Oprah’s The Life You Want Weekend’ almost four years ago, I’ve been trying and trying to meditate. My friends send me tips, podcasts, and websites… I just never seem to get around to it. *sigh* I’ll keep you posted.

3. READ MORE BOOKS!

Reading used to be my favorite pastime. Now, I can’t read long posts on social media! I’ve actually made some progress on this one. So, if you guys have any book suggestions, send them my way! In the meantime, I’ll start on the ones I already have. 

4. Take a photography class.

This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a couple of years now. This will be the year for sure! I’ve done the research, now all I need to do is make the time.

5. Blog.

Need I say more??? My goal is to be consistent, like I used to be. When I first started, my cup runneth over with topics. Then I started second-guessing myself. I went so far down a rabbit hole that I just stopped doing it all together.

6. Host a SMALL dinner party.

I’m still on the cusp of this one. I think it will be fun, but when I think of cooking and whatever else goes into hosting, I shy away from it. Plus I have a chihuahua who’s very selective about company! (Her nickname is “Not Nice” which she hates)! So we’ll see how this goes. ;)

I’m looking forward to a great year and elevating my quality of life…
