When I see mixed prints, I think of fruit salad! Why fruit salad?
Well, as we all know, fruit comes in all shapes and sizes, colors and textures. Some have seeds, others don’t… Some are bitter, others are sweet. But, when you marry the flavors, contrasting colors and textures, they make a pleasant combination. Same instance with mixing prints.
What a great way to recycle your wardrobe!
Solange’ is the queen of mixed prints.
Mixing patterns is not as difficult as it may seem. Add your own flavor and give it a try!
Although I’m not big on mixed prints, you’ve shown some excellent examples of how it can be done. This season is certainly all about color and playfulness. Mixed prints and patterns exude what is haute for spring/summer 2012. Kudos to you and thanks for the great tips. Who knows, maybe I will go in my closet and transforn into a fruit salad!!!
You are always on point!
Thanks guys! :)
Girl, I think it will take A LOT of effort and non-thinking for me to mix and match patterns. My mind be puttin’ too much thought into stuff. Clearly you cannot be an over-thinker to do something like this because us over-thinkers will feel REAL crazy walkin’ out of the closet, let alone the front door! Just might have to go out the back door the day I get bold enough to try this one!!! LOL Of course my excuse to the nay-sayers will be….”Ya’ll know I got 3 kids!!!!”I’m tryin’ girl….I’m tryin’.
